Medico legal work, accident claims
Osteopaths treat conditions throughout the body ranging from neck, back and spinal problems but also peripheral joint conditions. In other words all of the mechanical and structural problems of the body. This puts us in a unique position to help solicitors with the growing number of personal injury claims as expert witnesses and offering rehabilitation accident traumas.
I receive regular work from solicitors and insurance companies such as injury QED and provide an excellent service at competitive prices. My aim is to return patients back to pre-injury condition as fast as possible as a result I see a fast turnaround of those patients referred to me. This is of benefit to the individuals and those representing them so any cases can be resolved quicker and without delay.
I look forward to forging links with new clients and their representatives and will continue to provide the highest level of service. We have excellent facilities where most of our patients can be seen on the same day if necessary.
At Village Osteopathy and Sports Injury Clinic we have the ability to diagnose and detect bio-mechanical and musculoskeletal problems.
All of our patients are assessed and treated with a view to prevention of further occurrence combined with corrective exercise. We are empathetic to the need for the speedy recovery of the sports person due to their specific demands and commitments.
You may able to claim against your private health insurance for the course of the treatment. You will need to check with your
insurance company to confirm the available level of cover and whether you require a GP or specialist referral.

Medical acupuncture or "dry needling" is where a needle is used (without injected medicine) to release the muscle tightness that is associated with many types of pain.
Modern Western practitioners find that acupuncture can be understood in scientific terms, based on anatomy and physiology. It is commonly used in Chronic Back Pain, Neck Ache, Sciatica, Spondylosis, Tennis Elbow and Shoulder Problems. Sports injuries such as Knee Pain and Hand Injuries are also often improved.
Does it hurt?It is not pain-free. However, it is no more painful than a blood test and in many cases it is much less painful. As a rule it is necessary to produce a little pain to achieve an improvement but some people feel nothing at all.
Is it Safe?Acupuncture is a very safe form of treatment if practiced correctly. It does not tend to give any side effects and the Clinic always use 'single use' pre-sterilised needles, which are disposed of after each treatment.
There are some circumstances where Acupuncture cannot be used, Michael will only offer this service if he deems it is appropriate.
Chronic Workplace Strains
Most common complaints are due to spending many hours seated, either driving, working and resting. This all leads to altered posture, shortened hamstrings, weakened abdominal muscles and restricted spinal joints.
Neck pains and low back pain Often as a result of poor posture, incorrect seat or desk height can often result in poor posture at the desk .
Arm pain & Hand Aches commonly caused by nerve root compression or by
or heavy use of the mouse. Osteopaths are trained to diagnose, treat and advise to promote a healthier workplace.
Back problems and RSI are a £5 billion burden on industry. Bad backs are not just excruciatingly painful for individuals, they are also extremely costly for business left without key workers. Osteopaths already play a important role in many company health teams; smaller companies are benefiting from liaison with their local osteopaths.
